Green CEOs: Already well-established before the Grenelle summit
**What if the corporate green revolution is moving faster than the shift in mindsets? Numerous initiatives seem to confirm this.**
In their communications and advertising, many brands have undergone an eco-friendly transformation. But what about day-to-day corporate operations? Initiatives remain rare. We have mastered eco-friendly marketing, but we are less adept at eco-friendly production. Newzy met with two companies that, despite their differences, are working toward a new model of eco-responsible management.
Public Système, one of the largest event communications agencies, along with JM Bruneau, the French leader in office furniture and supplies, have changed both their own habits and those of their employees. Waste sorting, energy savings, new modes of transportation—everything is being done to foster a “greener” office life. And where there is new internal organization, there are new roles. These companies are seeing the emergence of “environmental correspondents” or “sustainability managers” who act as environmental union representatives. This is a blueprint for the future.
However, ecological innovation is not limited to large corporations. In fact, some of the most groundbreaking initiatives come from SMEs, which view these advancements as an opportunity to pioneer new business frontiers.
