9 workshops to keep them busy during the holidays
Do you have no plans for the holidays and no desire to spend your days playing Uno? Here are a few ideas to keep them intellectually engaged.
Eklabul Kids. Eklabul, the specialist in entertainment and artistic performances for your children! Discover Eklabul’s children’s events held across the Côte d’Azur: from Monaco to Marseille, including Cannes, St-Tropez, Nice, and Antibes. Children’s birthdays or kids’ entertainment by Eklabul in Vallauris: kids.eklabul.com
The Renault Workshop. The workshop is hosting “Passion for Family” sessions, offering a unique way to spend quality time together—perhaps even following a lunch on-site. For children aged 4 and up, the Kid’s Cartoon workshop features coloring with mosaics, flowers, and pom-poms to decorate the latest Formula 1 car, which then comes to life on screen. For ages 5 to 12, participants can enjoy building a mini F1 with Lego, which they get to take home at the end of the session. Older children (ages 8 to 12) can dive into coding to learn how to program a car alongside the startup Magic Makers. Workshops free, registration on the site: www.atelier.renault.com
Museum of Decorative Arts. I have previously mentioned this on the website, but it is among the most creative and diverse workshops available. During the February school holidays, several spots remain for various sessions, notably “Premières Impressions” (ages 4-6), where children can discover different printing techniques and create their own bookmark. For ages 7-10, the “Léger comme une Plume” workshop draws inspiration from the creations of Constance Guisset to develop original collages. The options are vast; log in here to discover the full program: www.madparis.fr
Lenôtre. Are they food enthusiasts but running low on ideas beyond cookies and chocolate cakes? Maison Lenôtre offers “Petites Toques” (ages 8-11) and “Grandes Toques” (ages 12-17) workshops, teaching them how to craft macarons, chouquettes, and millefeuilles, as well as seasonal three-course menus featuring appetizers, main courses, and desserts. Could this be the spark for a future culinary career? For more information, visit: www.lenotre.com
L’Atelier Nota. Part stationery shop, part decor boutique, and part gallery, L’Atelier Nota was envisioned by two passionate sisters. During the holidays, you can book workshops (for ages 8 and up) to learn the art of screen printing, marbled paper, linocut, and wall weaving. These creative activities are enjoyed by both girls and boys alike. (25 €, www.lateliernota.com)
In Bordeaux: Madd activities for budding artists
The Bordeaux Museum of Decorative Arts and Design offers workshops for children aged 6 to 11. Themes are regularly updated, always in alignment with the museum’s current programming. These games and art activities are preceded by an introductory tour of the venue, including both temporary and permanent exhibitions. During school holidays, the Madd also organizes 2- or 3-day art workshops, always centered around the museum’s collections.

In Bordeaux: Cap Sciences youth workshops
Parents of inquisitive children still find themselves unable to answer many of their children’s questions. Chemistry, astronomy, archaeology, anthropology, robotics, or even how to build a rocket? These are just a few examples of the many fascinating topics featured in Cap Sciences’ youth workshops. Lucky kids in Bordeaux!
