{"id":1816101,"date":"2018-07-26T15:39:55","date_gmt":"2018-07-26T14:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newzyexecutive.fr\/discovering-nordic-walking\/"},"modified":"2026-05-05T08:37:09","modified_gmt":"2026-05-05T07:37:09","slug":"discovering-nordic-walking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newzyexecutive.fr\/en\/discovering-nordic-walking\/","title":{"rendered":"Discovering Nordic Walking"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Endurance and Physical Fitness Development<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I absolutely wanted to try the experience because, whether as a form of foundational physical conditioning or simply for overall health, this discipline should be categorized alongside essentials like swimming, jogging, or cycling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Then there is walking, which remains &#8220;THE&#8221; primary physical activity to recommend to everyone, as it has been an intrinsic part of our lives since birth.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From now on, I would categorize it within the group of disciplines focused on developing fundamental physical fitness, specifically the &#8221;\u00a0<strong>Nordic Walking<\/strong>\u00a0&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The addition of poles to Nordic walking\u2014its most defining feature\u2014provides greater intensity, improved technique, and more enjoyment during physical exertion; much like cross-country skiing, it incorporates an arm swing with an alternating arm-and-opposite-leg motion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All of this requires focus, and the effort is much more manageable as a result. It is truly a win-win. I therefore traveled to the Southern Alps in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.autocar-location.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autocar Rental<\/a> with a group of about twenty people, and we had a wonderful time!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>I truly recommend you give it a try!<\/em><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Session Proceedings<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1478\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newzyexecutive.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/marche-nordique-3.jpg\" alt=\"nordic walking 3\" width=\"640\" height=\"426\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.newzyexecutive.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/marche-nordique-3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.newzyexecutive.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/marche-nordique-3-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I already had some telescopic hiking poles, which aren&#8217;t exactly the same as Nordic walking poles, but they were perfectly fine for getting started.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After handing out sticks to those who had none, we shall begin with:<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Checking and fine-tuning pole walking for 5 minutes<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over a short distance of 100m, walk with your arms swinging freely while holding the poles.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The hands must alternate naturally, moving in opposition to each leg: left leg with right arm, then right leg with left arm.
